I feel like what has been said is pretty good for narrative, remember with horror jump scares are great but you also need to build suspense sometimes. Use of sound, music and time will help build that tension.

Technically speaking, you might want to create a sprite looking to one side or the other and animate it for walking then mirror flip it if they go the other direction. This way it looks more like the character is walking and not gliding. Also oddly the demon sounds like they are speaking Japanese? lol... Anyway great job for a first attempt game! Color me impressed! Keep up the great work!
