I had a feeling AI was used in this and I should have stuck to my instinct and not played it at all. I understand that AI is convenient, but at this point, I assume people are aware of the amount of harm it does to artists, to the planet and more. If you can't make art, or code, or translate without AI, either learn how to (I promise you the feeling of progressively aquiring a skill is worth it) or connect with people who can. There are also cheap assets you can buy if you're an amateur game dev and are not interested in making the art.
i guess i never made the 'aidle' connection, but i promise there are better ways to produce the art and translations without the use of generative AI, both from a practical game development perspective, and less ecologically harmful perspective-- hope to support any project of yours going forward without it!
I do this solely for pleasure, out of desire and to experiment with AI.
I have no intention of denigrating the work done by developers or artists. I do not derive any financial benefit from it whatsoever.
I do not accept donations and I do not charge anything. On the contrary, it costs me personally for the multiplayer server.
I consider that, as such, I owe nothing to anyone, and I still give my time to improve the game for the players who are on it every day.
AI is just a tool, your internet searches consume just as much. As for the AI taking jobs, it's comparable to the advent of car technology. Did everyone who had animal-drawn carts end up unemployed? No, they adapted. Criticism is always easier. Whether some people like it or not, it won't stop and I wont stop.
If you manage to be so critical of a tool... your problem, not mine. Sorry.
