Short, but very sweet. I loved every bit of Hellion- his design is hot, eye catching and unique (I really liked how his gray skin made the glow of his eyes, teeth, and jewelry stand out) and his personality is every bit as charming. His way of speaking and dialect fit very well, and fit like a glove both for his sleazier vibe and his surprisingly soft side. Would gladly get hitched with this bozo in a vegas wedding...

Either way, while I do get that this is just a short jam project, it felt outright mean to have two dialogue options in a row asking Hellion what, exactly, selling your soul entails just for him to refuse to answer both times. I can scarcely believe it's anything less than a huge deal, and ending 2 having Heli talk about MC with genuine goodwill while they weren't around to hear was the only reason I didn't take him to be some evil liar.

I'm not sure if you still plan on releasing a part 2, but I'd love to see more of this story- and I'm not saying this while expecting a longer version to be free or to have full voice acting.

(And, if it's still not in the plans... can you maybe spoil us on what the story was hiding?)

Hi Snailsnip,

Thanks for taking the time to review, we're really happy that you enjoyed 'The Inbetween', we'd let Hellion know about Las Vegas, but I'm sure he'd blush a lot and we think he might take it seriously.

We appreciate your comment on him not telling you much information in the game itself, without going into too much detail - it's more there's a good reason he's not telling you that would be explored in a full-length game and this intended to be a teaser of what was to come. One might call it a little clumsy in the writing execution, but one month jams are high pressure and we do our best in a team of 2 full-time working buddies (we also had our own jam entries that year, so we were quite pressured for time).

Also, he is just a bit 'difficult conversation averse' ;)

We may come back to the story of Hellion, but we've just come off the back of the Royal Duality and Deity Machine saga and we're just starting our new series 'giving the best'... we never say never, but it might be a while.

As for what he's hiding, if we come back to it, we wouldn't like to say ;)

Thanks again for your feedback, have a great day :D
