Visuals

1 ... add some animations in main page

2 ... colors fits well -> good element visibility

3 ... add animation of lanterns: change brightness of the light based on RNG interpolation/tween -> that would give motion the the game

4 ... nightmare maze, cannons aesthetics doesn't fit with village one

5 ... (game): From visual perspective when: click E on nightmare -> its delaed for 2sec with no visual feedback -> that feels like I there is nothing & lead me to walk away

6 ... insta-teleport flick out feels out of place

7 ... I am able to see end of map (green only) -> that feels empty to me (a lot of elements where player can move and 0 after border).

7.1 . Create map after border to max range where camera can see. Player movement is blocked from going there

8 ... some trees are placed in repetitive pattern

9 ... city level design are placed very good (good map design)

Design

1 ... does maze have end?

1.1 . Its hard to guess direction with "flying burger" behind your back.

1.2 . Good thing is you can side step burger in the corner (is this intended)?

2 ... interesting idea of removing people nightmares

3 ... adding end goal timer, example:

3.1 . now is night 20:00 -> your goal is to remove nightmares until people walks up

Controls

1 ... add button mouseHover

2 ... ASDW -> works as intended

Sound

1 ... no main sound

2 ... (game): sound becomes repetitive around 20sec in game:

2.1 . add different noise types, change BG sound volume, RNG noise volume (like wisp),

3 ... go into nightmare sound well placed (check Visual 5.)

Bugs

1 ... (game): BG sound stops working after x sec

2 ... (game): legs are able to go on some of the trees

3 ... (nightmare): I am able to run for around 3sec after got hit by a burger

4 ... (game): E spam blocks from entering nightmare

Solid strange idea +1

Thanks for the long list. I give you my in return -

Many of the things and limitations you mentioned (especially the SFX), were omitted because of the time limit, as this is only my second game jam and I am not so good at time management. The trees in the overworld you mentioned were from a free asset pack, so there wasn't much choice. The aesthetics in some dreams feels different because I wanted to make every person's nightmare distinct and very different from each other, as that's what happens in reality.

Yes, the maze has an end. The dead ends are actually very few, albeit longer. The side-stepping burger part wasn't intended initially but I got into some problems in between, hence the "improved" version. The end timer suggestion is really good. I never thought of that.

I am very poor in handling sounds, but I am trying to improve day by day.

First bug is there because I didn't do looping on the background sound (Forgot in a hurry, submitted 15 seconds before the end). I'll look into the last two.

This got a bit too big (Have a taste of your own medicine ;)).

Jokes apart, I will honestly try to implement as much as I can, maybe even more, if I continue it. Thanks a lot!
