Hey hey.
I've been pretty busy with proper work, but I've been chipping away at this project every so often. With my current setup adding new characters is quite tedious, especially getting the neck sprite set up and looking good, so I've been focused on getting some new tech into the project to make that simpler. It's not abandoned though!
The game page contains a link to the GitHub page, where all the source code is stored (MIT-licensed), so anyone could fork the project if and mess around with it if they wanted as well (if I have to put it down for instance).
