Before I get into the meat of my review, I have to start by saying that this was a heck of a lot of fun!

Alright, now that's out of the way, let me begin. Sweetbox is a wacky, very left-field sandbox adventure game where you really can just wander around and do as you please... within reason, of course. There's no fighting to be found here so don't expect swords and level grinding, it's all about the character interactions and the exploring.

From the get-go, you can have a chat with the people living in this forgotten town and start grabbing yourself some side-quests. The crux of the whole game though comes down to one strange chap in a cabin on the outskirts of town who rants about coins. There are special coins scattered around the map, which can be obtained in many different ways, and that seems to be the main aim of this game.

However, the fun lies within the finding of the coins moreso than the aftermath, and getting to do all of the fun stuff in-between like foraging for mushrooms and starfish, mining (kind of, anyway), buying a corn farm and just enjoying the kooky characters really is the heart of game.

So grab Sweetbox and go on a weird little journey all of your own! (Just don't try to talk to the mushroom forager, he's really not up for a chat).
