That's right. Season 2 starts at chapter 8, because season 1 ended on chapter 7. Just follow the on-screen instructions to carry your choices over from season 1.
Season 2 does come with an option to start with default choices but I do recommend importing choices from season 1 because there are a lot of little personalizations that transfer over.
