I looked for your entry, and couldn't resist to give it a try :)
my first thought for this jam was to make a metroidvania, but ended up making just a "room-based platformer", I'm really glad that you could make it and make it this good.
it's frustrating at times (the journey of tempo) , but I think it's intended and it's actually fititng the theme and specially the retro aesthetics, I mean, playing it feels exactly like it looks it's going to feel, so congrats on the overall coherence of the experience.
and man, I feel like we have similar "gaiming brains" (with a huge experience gap between both of them), I tried to implement a "patience room" as well, with the exact same concept, but I didn't do a great job with it and it's not that understandable as yours.
If you are planning to polish or expand of looking for bugs to fix, If you end up under a moving platform when it's docking you get stuck there (I must admit that I was looking for that, it didn't happen randomly).
I wish I had more of a constructive feedback, but I don't feel like there's much to fix or improve. Good work!
