I also encountered an issue where... the fox passing her spirit knowledge... these vagaries to avoid not being too direct are too hard for me; Kimiko giving me the spirit vessel paper made the game freeze when I tried looking at the map. I managed to get past that, but it would be annoying to anyone else who couldn't fix it.
