I really liked this. Your PB ghost mechanic was solid, get to have a race with yourself and that really adds to the replayability and appeal. 

The map/progress implementation was really solid too... if anything the game was just too fast for me and I couldn't get up a good pace and stay away from the edges. I'm not really a twitch style or into racing games tbf, but I did like how polished this was. The PB system I think was the real sweet spot that sells it for me. Kudos to anyone on the team who was involved in that part!!

Congrats to the whole team on the game though. Solid jam entry. Well done.

Ah, my friend, but what if you don't stay away from the edges and instead grind along them with the back of the player? You’d be surprised at the amount of speed that will get you. (maby that wasn't clear from the game :P)

Ha. And there go my PBs... I was just caught up in the blood pumping pulse and the speed boosts you 'pick up' and hadn't registered the speed gain from the grinding. That is nice! 

No worries. It is one of the things we underestimated how counterintuitive it would be for the player. Normally, you are encouraged to stay away from the borders in racing games. Definitely something we could have explained better in the game.
