Hey, I wanted to buy the game but I got issues with each of the remaining payment options.

Subscribestar wants my ID or Webcam Access - something I do not trust any service provider with.

Cluster uses a payment system which doesn't work with my card.

And TRC20? Isn't that bitcoin? Also very fishy and new to me.

It really sucks that I have been to slow to purchase the game the easy way. Is it really time for me to open up a bitcoin wallet or am I misunderstanding something with the options here? Any input is appreciated.

TRC20 is USDT its based on united states dollar and is considered a stable coin its fully supported by the banks where the author lives,
and no its not bitcoin if you wanted to use bitcoin he has a wallet for that too if you wish but TRC20 is actively tracked by the banks and is considered a legit payment method
as for ID and webcam access you probably live in the EU where these things are mandatory at the pain of millions of dollars in fines don't blame subscribestar blame your government.

So after reading into it more it appears I cannot avoid getting a credit card if I want to buy it now.

@Redtrainer: I'd have to recreate a new account to screenshot the request to ID myself but it's basically four options: Upload ID, another document as an alternative to the ID, webcam or different flavor of webcam.

@annuilein: Thanks for the explanation and input.

In the end, the first option of Subscribestar I won't do because of IDing, Cluster requires a credit card, which I will have to get first and the wallet shenanigans requires an ID or Credit Card also. That sucks, man, I was just a bit too late.

Purchasing the game is once again on hold, I suppose, at least until another wild payment option appears or I get a credit card which also sucks because the simplest credit card I can get is with my bank and there it costs 40 Euros per year just for existing.

Just why does the EU and China got their ass that wide open?

ngl this is the first time, PROBABLY Because Subscriberstar verifies the user through merely having a credit card... which surprises me if you dont want to add credit card then i dont know how ur gonna buy the game, Are you aware that you cant buy the game without it? or am i missing something

I was hoping to pay with it like I usually do with my giro card, Paypal or a classic transfer and wouldn't need a credit card here.

So I got the game in the end, I asked a friend of mine if he wanted to spite the Chinese and he agreed to pay for me, I gave him the money for it afterwards. Now I am enjoying the perks of top tier memes in the discord. Problem solved!
