The art and lighting is really nice. I think that the game design was a bit rough though. The interact control was a bit weird, generally the mouse is mostly used to interact in point and click games whereas the player would just interact with what's around it in a platformer. I actually think this would have been great as a point and click game (also the desc says right click to interact but it's left click). Also some of the interactions were really odd, like being able to climb the bookshelf requiring use of a key that otherwise has not been needed at all and having no indication it's possible to climb. There should also be something indicating whether or not the door is open, as normally you have to use a key but sometimes it's just unlocked and one time you need a book. My 16:10 screen had blue bars at the top and bottoms of the screen as the bg art didn't cover it, though this could be easily fixed by just changing the camera background to the black color in the tiles. The sound design is nice and if there is a story present it's very intriguing. Overall, well done! (esp for a first game!!)

I would def update the description to clarify some things like the interaction and the climbing key (:

Hello! First of all, thank you for your feedback. I agree that some aspects of the game design could have been polished. I’ll take that into account for my next games.

I’ve updated the description based on your advice 🙌🏻

Thank you for playing!!
