just go on the paid download its updated with build 62
β Why do I get knocked down and canβt get up in Breedspawn?
This is intentional. The current build is designed around vulnerability, survival, and power imbalance.
π©Έ The Power Gap Is Real
-
Nargomin currently has ~40,000 HP.
-
A normal adult human has ~100 HP.
-
Health scales with strength, but there is no heavy weaponry or ranged combat in the game yet.
-
Combat right now is hand-to-hand only.
Trying to fight a Nargomin directly is not a fair fight. It is not meant to be.
If you attract one to a normal settlement, it will be wiped out. Only Authority settlements (in the lore) possess the kind of heavy firepower required to stand a chance.
Current intended gameplay loop:
-
Avoid.
-
Flee.
-
Hide.
-
Survive.
π§ Why You Get Knocked Down Instead of Dying Instantly
The knockdown system is deliberate and systemic.
Before delivering a blow, NPCs evaluate whether they will:
-
Deliver a lethal strike (full strength).
-
Deliver a restrained strike.
Restrained strikes are typically used:
-
When defending themselves.
-
When Demons and Humans want to rape you.
When a restrained strike is used:
-
Your health can drop to -100% (critical state).
-
You are not instantly killed.
-
You enter a knocked-down state.
This represents being on the brink of death.
β³ Why Recovery Takes So Long
Once knocked down:
-
You must wait for natural body recovery.
-
Recovery can take multiple in-game days.
-
Healing appears extremely slow because you are recovering from catastrophic trauma.
-
You may die of starvation before recovering.
There are currently:
-
β No healing items.
-
β No companion revival mechanics.
-
β No medical acceleration systems.
This is temporary. Healing systems and recovery assistance will be added in future updates.
Right now, the design philosophy is grounded in realism:
If you are nearly dead, your body does not recover in minutes.
π― What You Are Supposed To Do (For Now)
-
Do not fight Nargomin head-on.
-
Do not try to defend settlements without proper support.
-
If caught, survival is unlikely.
-
The world is currently hostile by design.
Heavy weaponry, advanced combat systems, and mechs are planned. When those systems enter the game, the power balance will shift.
Until then:
Survival > Combat.
