Great to hear that you like the game so far. Here is a bit of info rereading the creation process.

Characters are based on DAZ Genesis 8 with a morph (Toon Princess). Outfit are also mostly DAZ, some I made myself (pony gear etc)

The overall story arch is sth like Voyager. The individual  story element i got inspired by various sci fi novels. I block out the basic five point story arc in some bullet points and then flesh it out with quest step data

I wrote the game alone (code, story, art) but it took me about 3 years a few hours per day (i don't work any more and do this for fun)

Start out with a small game trust can be done in a few weeks, watch a bunch of tutorials. Then do a bit bigger ones...

I learned a lot compared to my first attempt. User guidance, UI, quest design, software designed elements, python etc...

Just watch a few tuts and try it out. Renpy has the lowest entry hurdle imho

Oh and the character style i use is classic cartoon 1:6 stylized (body is 6 heads high). Same as classic Disney figure proportions. I draw a lot and could build on that...

Environment, items, ships etc i did all in blender from scratch.

Would be great if you can leave 5 stars on the game rating, that helps with visibility.

where did you learn how to do that tho what resources did you use

  • Coding I knew a bit from school but always hated the complexity of large game engines so I made little games in renpy, which is very easy (and you can upgrade your skill there with python elements too)
  • 3D  with DAZ studio I had been dabbling for years, making mostly pinup or fantasy renders
  • biggest debt i had in game design which i knew nothing about, strated winging it and made a bunch of mistakes in my smaller games. slowly improved I guess

    ;)
