Probably! I definitely looked at some images of cows when I made it, especially the Harvest Moon cow.
Also yes it’s intended, since I didn’t want two buttons to do the exact same thing. I could have had the B button do nothing (which would match what some other Game Boy Picross games do), but I personally found it useful to have a button that was guaranteed to clear marked numbers.
