This game has so much potential, comparable to what MiSide had (not surprisingly, since the graphic style is vaguely similar), but since this is an ambitious project and probably managed by very few people, if not a single developer, there is still a long way to go before it can be considered a "good game" in this genre.
Below I will list all the negative aspects I have noticed so far:
Character animations are often broken and buggy; the rigs should be properly reanimated from the beginning of the game.
The characters’ hands are the most broken part; 3/4 of the time they don’t even grab things correctly.
Interactions with the characters are far too limited and follow an extremely monotonous and basic routine. It would be more appropriate to have them interact with each other and move around the house.
The way the characters walk is seriously broken. Since this is a hentai game, I expected the walking animations to be well-polished, not only in terms of rigging and movement, but especially regarding breast and butt jiggle physics.
When the protagonist (yourself in the game) reaches orgasm during a sexual act, nothing happens; the animation of semen coming out is completely missing.
The fact that there is nothing else to do with Mia after having sex with her feels unnatural. Seeing her at the shop and not being able to do anything anymore makes little sense, and I don’t understand whether this is because the game is not yet fully complete or not.
PLEASE, Benjamin’s 3D model absolutely needs to be changed. He looks like he’s ten years old. What is your idea of an “adult man”? Terrible.
After Lucy gives you oral sex in the gym bathroom, she is supposed to be angry, but despite that, at night you can still enter her room and have sexual interactions with her. If she is actually angry, this should not happen; it feels unrealistic.
The level design of the other buildings besides the house is truly poor. The gym lacks background music, footstep sounds, and most importantly, other NPCs that would make the place feel more populated and realistic.
I won’t even talk about the flower shop, because something like that could have been completely avoided.
In conclusion, there is still a lot, a lot of work to be done. Honestly, instead of releasing a game like this, I would have preferred a well-made demo. MiSide was literally developed by two people, which proves that something good can be created even with a very small team. Of course, this is an oversimplification, but you could also try contacting their team, presenting your project, and asking for help with the development of Sarah’s House. They are probably working on MiSide’s peaceful mode right now, but it wouldn’t hurt to try.
Alternatively, seriously invest the time needed to deliver a WELL-MADE game that could even be sold in the future. The important thing is that it doesn’t remain as it is now.
The potential is there, but the substance is missing ;)
