Hey Angel, I just wanted to come here and pour out all my thoughts that I've had so far on YALD <3
You leave me in absolute awe with the detail of the models that you make, along with how much you get done with them in a short amount of time, I had honestly never expected a side game like this when YHJB is so detailed in of itself.
The background sets are absolutely top notch, it fits with the grimy unhingedness of the characters you make, even the sterile office had a quality about it that made me think 'Of course Lester lurks around here all the time. Of course this is where he works.'
The unidentifiable meat on hooks was just another thing to get the heart pumping and the mind running around, I mean the blood-soaked box fridge by the stairs absolutely makes me think Lester shoves people down the stairs and they just kind of... Fall and bleed into it.
Speaking of the Male Lead, I am kind of obsessed with him in a way.
Not exactly like I am with Jayce Blackwood, but the fact the MC kept referring to him as a dog, and I kept picking dialogue options that kept him acting nice and kind of shy, that a part of me is just like 'No, Lester, tomorrow when I see you, you are the one that is going to get a bath'. With the image of spraying him down with a water hose, and brushing his wet hair when he's been properly treated coming to mind. Cigarette smoke and dollar store cologne no longer! (As if he wouldn't still continue to smoke).
The whole conundrum you shoved into this one man gives me whiplash in a good way, because there is no such thing as a perfect victim, but goddamn does Lester really show that isn't the case, with the fact that even though he got scratched up and burned up and all this stuff, he still manages to do perverted things like with the coffee and the chair, still kidnaps and still goes into a bit of psychosis near the end no matter how nice the MC was.
I really admire the Chekov's gun we may have with Lester's failing eyesight and the fact that he nearly shot the MC a few times. It just adds a depth of character I really admire you for going with, along with his childhood being so... Outwardly happy? His parents seem to love him a lot, at least by the album standards and the fact they are concerned about him running a farm all by himself.
The desperate need to find out about the Girlfriend and what is true or not is kind of unreal.
I feel like maybe there would be more to say, but I'll wait until the Full Release, I think.
