A mouse chasing cheese will always win my heart. Glad to see you expand on mechanics from the first round! Slow mo is always a fun addition too. I think I'd maybe recommend having some kind of alternative control as playing with right click / left click using a trackpad on a laptop is pretty tough, but I think that's probably just me.
