Try delete the game and all save files if any in C:\Users\YourName\AppData\LocalLow\AzaGameStudio\ and reinstall the game. I just tested both games, and while it detects controller it is not functional because its disabled, when i disconnect controller and restart the game, it switches back to keyboard & mouse and works correctly.
It should not be possible to detect it without you owning one, since the code reads input from your PC when the .exe starts, by default it will always choose keyboard&mouse if no controller present.
