Is the game still in development? It is so good!

Edit 1:
After having played it for some time, I have one (in reality two) complaint.

I must admit that the scenery is great, though the combat system is either incomplete or badly designed, as all actions consume Spirit points  and makes it impossible to continue the attacking as those points do not seem to ever regenerate, not in the fight nor when you end it. I would recommend adding an ability to restore it, an object such a potion or concoction or just straight up make it regenerate over time (and fully once that the fight is over).

Also, it seems impossible to escape from any fight, then why is there an option to flee in the screen? Either allow the player to escape from a fight or not, but this feels like simply unjust or a not finished aspect of the game.

The rest is great, the art is awesome and the sound effects are good. It has good writing and it gives off a vibe similar to what Vermis is, so Vermis [RPGM] is excellent in that matter.

Edit 2 (Bug report):

At the animation that plays when you start a new save there is a typographical error in where "wonderswhat" lacks a space between "wonders" and "what".

Thank you.

The game hasn't been abandoned, but the process is dragging on due to my lack of free time. I have to return to the project sporadically.

Adjustments to combat have already been made. Following the advice of a previous commentator, I made it possible to restore Spirit while dodging and completely removed its consumption during normal attacks. Furthermore, the ability to restore Spirit using consumables was present from the start. In the current version, there are four of them.

The lack of an escape feature is due to the fact that I want players to avoid combat. In fact, you can only complete an act by fighting the "final boss." That's how I see Vermis—a path to nowhere, a journey that requires the last of your strength.

The next act is essentially ready—I just need to make a few tweaks to the gameplay due to the introduction of a new character and (the longest part) translate the final version into English. I won't give any deadlines.

Oooooh, I see. That sounds great, then I will wait for the next update when it is ready! I am excited to see what you have done, because this game has genuenly so much potential to expand into something way bigger.

By the way, you have finished the reply regarding that the game must be translated into English before completing the update. I am a native Spanish speaker and I have some experience in translating videogames and apps into Spanish from English as a hobby. If you ever need a translator, I would do it out of community support to the game!

Thank you for your reply, I will keep an eye on this project.
