Hey Novak :) It's not silly. Have you tried checking the discord? What you have to do for mutations is collect N number of fragments and successfully react them in the lab.
So if you wanted a Tier 4 Flexible mutation, you would have to successfully react 6 vials of Flexible. Hope that made sense xD

Of course. I appreciate your question and interest in the game :) I have noted that the mutation mechanics may need some additional explanations so that players understand how to progress/learn them.
