there's been some discussion and idea-bouncing in the discord too!!
that said i think i'm also doing something minigame-based. i want to kind of capture the chaotic feeling i had as a child of imagining my pets journeying across all the different disparate worlds of neopia by having different minigames set in different parts of the world. i'm thinking maybe dice pools as a primary resolution system, and if you roll doubles, you roll on the Something Has Happened! table.
i'm not filing the serial numbers off or anything lmao i'm just going for it
i was looking at the on-site descriptions of different pets and figuring out some bits for each pet today... i don't think there's gonna be a huge detailed character sheet, just, like, one or two moves to help guide play
