You know....Im curious since DD has such a massive and vast cast, have you ever thought about adding like a suikoden style to one of your games?

Well, it's a more traditional JRPG with a world map and a story about fighting a war. There is travelling which is greatly inspired by (especially the first part of) a Suikoden game, many characters to recruit some of which are optional and/or choice-based (think Valeria/Kasumi), a castle at the end game where you are a guest and all your companions appear, pets to collect all over the world and store in a shelter (though I didn't like that part much in Suikoden 2), and I'm thinking tactical battles in the last chapter of the game (some of which have been posted as screenshots in my discord) :)
What I loved about Suikoden was mainly the tactical battles. I personally don't see why you would leave that for "end game content" instead of doing it from the start and using it to fit the lore of DD by having the main character start their own Guild. Taking people you recruit and sending them off to help nations/villages with problems of war or monsters that build up reputations that can help you unlock things like other classes, blue prints for gear, hiring/recruiting optional characters. A character placement system where certain characters are good at certain things. Like this character is good at gathering stone to help improve the castle or building other buildings. This character is good at archery so they can control archer soldiers in their "war" fights or w/e
