I'm not sure what happened but I have a problem with this new update - I load the game and get to the age confirmation screen. When I click continue it fades to black, then goes right back to that screen.

Sorry this is a recurring bug that I've been struggling to fix. It's been mostly reported on Steam though so I have a suspicion it's something with the DLC validation. If it's happening on the standalone version, then that may help me narrow it down to something else.
Some users with it reported that moving the install from a secondary drive to their main one solved it, but not sure if it's SSD or HDD in all cases. I'll roll out a fix for this as soon as I am able to.
Thanks for the prompt reply! I'm currently playing the standalone, and I was experiencing this issue as of last night after a fresh download.
Also, I don't know if this helps, but there were a few instances previously where I was able to get past the age confirmation screen, but it just got stuck a little later on the menu screen( I think?). I haven't been able to reliably reproduce that version of the bug, though.
Hmm ok, it's troubling that it's happening on the standalone too. Did you confirm if the game is on the main OS drive? The patch I put out on steam mostly targeted communicating with steam's DLC validation, which I suspected was causing it somehow. I'll put that patch out on itch tomorrow but I don't expect to fix it with this one yet.
