Greetings, Coffee ๐โ
I was here to inquire about a particular thought of mine.
How did you become so good at drawing? how long have you been drawing?
Are you any good at drawing Animals?
I don't mean to be a hassle but I have been teaching myself the ways of animal drawing for a very Very long time and I can say for myself that I have NOT learned a single thing on the actual body drawing of an animal other than bugs.
I can draw bugs like butterfly's, beetle's, spiders, ants, and basically every single little bug that can bite you.
But I can't seem to get the animals right, sure the tutorials help, but I am not very good with angle's, they are my worst enemy, trying to draw an animal.
Advice?

Hi there,
Hmm, I don't think I have any more than the typical advice of observation and practice. My style is cartooning, so I usually focus on line and shape, simplifying the form to the most prominent characteristics and emphasizing features that bring charm or personality. Understanding underlying anatomy always helps to a degree.
I would encourage you to know that drawing is a lot more complicated skill than a lot of people give it credit for. It's one of this things that takes most people a lot of effort to get proficient at, and there's really no ceiling, improvement after that is usually a long and ongoing journey. Some people might start out with some natural aptitude with an intrinsic sense of spacial relations but drawing is constant problem solving and exploration. It's very good brain exercise so just be patient with yourself, observe your subject matter and explore the paper.
Im still learning and definitely not perfect but I also think that is charming in its own right.
