So you start at Lvl 1 with 5 HP and 0 VP.
You start at the stairs and can move any number of spaces that are empty without having to do anything else.
You select 4 monsters and choose which level they are and the numbers 1,2,3,4 represent the monster and level.
To beat a monster you must be the same level or higher. The monster takes damage if you are both the same level but you don’t take damage unless the monsters level is higher than yours
You draw a treasure card if you move onto a treasure chest.

You can fight any monster at any time. You take damage equal to the difference. So if you are Level 1 and you fight a Level 3, you lose 2 Health. If you are you Level 1 and you fight a Level 1, you lose 0 Health.
How do you gain levels to beat higher level monsters?
If you beat a Monster that is at a higher level you gain +2 VP and +1 LVL. So you gain levels by defeating monsters that are at higher levels than you.
How do you win the game?
Try to get the highest number of VPs. You can leave at any time.
Note: Something about that sheet must be old or out of date. Can you tell me which file you got that from? The "To beat a monster you need to be the same level of higher." is not fully correct. That text shouldn't be there.
