Sally's actions actually quite reasonable to me? Like instead of a brother figure he feels like a father/parent figure. He worries for us, and sees bad influences and tries to convince us to remove them. I mean he tried to help us make friends.. though his ways are questionable. He's unconditionally trying to support everyone. The whole time I was reading this I was wondering what kind of phycological impacts he would have from being a parental figure. And frankly I don't think its so bad. Like a almost over bearing parent. So am I missing something? Maybe it's because I'm not that worried about him trapping us in our room cause we can sneak out via the tree outside our window. I wish there was a place to talk about this IF. Anyway I need more Lorcan content. Foaming and frothing in the mouth for more. I really like the author's writing style.

yeah i was wondering why our self worth would go down if we say we love sally..my mom reminds of sally a lot she might sometimes comes as overbearing but i can understand the reasoning and love behind her actions and she worries a lot and just wants the best for me and i don't feel like it has anything with self worth. i really feel bad for sally i wish we could be kinder to him and that our self worth wouldn't go down just because we love him
His actions also make sense if you see it from his perspective, the MC is a genuine and constant danger to themselves and others, he seems to know more than he lets on, but he doesn't know everything the MC has gone through and so what he tries to do for the MC makes perfect sense from his position. I do not blame him. Anyway, brilliant writing by the author.
