Itch io, upload gif still not working? My file is GIF and once it upload it stays in image please if there's a moda here help me to figure this out

Try scrolling over it or moving the cursor over it. Just to check that it is, in fact, genuinely not working. If that fails, try reuploading. If that fails, try rebuilding the GIF with loop number set to '0' so it doesn't stop looping after a set number of plays. Maybe it played once or twice before you got to it. 

In my experience the itch.io gifs often only play when they're the focus, like in the middle of the screen height or being moused over. 

It seems to be a design choice to minimize visual clutter on large grids of projects which otherwise would in many cases all be moving in a ton of spots. So the person browsing usually must have that icon in or near center of attention for it to play. 

I have some GIFs used this way and I realized fast that the first frame must look solid and clear in its information because in some cases here that is all a person will see.
