I had a great time playing this today!
My first character pretty much died right away on her first hex, but I had a blast drawing that Kelpie and telling her (very short) story.
Tried again with a different wildling type and had a much better time, still cut tragically short after exploring 3/5 realms. 
The rules of this game are very easy to pick up and understand. At 22 pages, the entire PDF is a quick read. The gameplay is fast-paced and dynamic, and a total blast. Combat is player-focused, so no need to keep track of complicated calculations for turns and hits and such. Simple to learn, tricky to master.
You could journal more and write more of the story as you go if you wanted to, but I really enjoyed using the doodles on the "wall" to tell the story. I decided to go clockwise and use different colors for each realm, so I feel you can follow the story pretty well even with so much going on. Lots of fuel for the imagination here!
