When I hit the ennemies I see blood but their health never decrease as they bleed everywhere. I think it would be very nice if they would take damage over time as they bleed out and naturally stop bleeding after a while like us. For example I hit a shade crawler very badly with a machete and I thought it would bleed out as it ran away but it never died and put blood all over the map as it continued roaming
I could be as simple as hits also giving a bleed number in addition to damage and the total bleed naturally slowly decreasing over time to make sure a tiny hit won't bleed out the enemy
