Nice concept! I liked the music and cute pixel art, and the transition was very cool! It felt a bit buggy though, part of the map was showing outside of the dark frame, the attack controls didn't work sometimes and I encountered a bug where I got trapped in the walls, so didn't end up finishing the game, but the first part of it was fun! I liked the puzzle with the lantern in particular. I thought the audio was a bit too loud, and it would have been really nice to be able to restart from the last outpost you visiting instead of being sent right back to the beginning, losing all your progress and having to play through the same section again felt frustrating. But good job overall, it's a cool concept with some neat mechanics!
