Writing is okay, the game itself feels way too slow. The anticipation for the sweep attack is very unclear on first play, and dying is very punishing (because you practically have to wait out the entire fight) Notice how I say wait out? This game is very exhilarating and kinda slow it feels like your just waiting for the next attack or just getting frustrated because you move so slow and can’t really dodge an attack. No in betweens, no close calls.

But I do like the humor and writing. Keep making games! I hope I’m not too negative and that this feedback helps you in your next project. Enjoy your week!

The game was originally far faster, as I was personally used to the "you're safe until attack goes out + position yourself in advance" gameplay of the two main inspirations (FF14 and Rabbit and Steel), but realized it might be too fast for someone not used to it and that might not instantly recognize how to play. Seems I made it too slow in the end.

I mean this is difficult stuff. You gotta one make the game difficult enough to be engaging and easy enough so people can actually beat it in the small amount of time people spend playing a jam game (3-10 minutes) Thats Flow where challenge meets difficulty and Flow = Fun. Thats why it’s hard to make a fun game
