Hmmm...
From our testing, the encryption will work with other sound file types, however, even Theora files have difficulty with the encrypted files, at least, not without some base plugin modifications.
Our recommendation: encrypt using something other than RPG Maker. 7zip works fine, or Ark on Linux.
