In other words, I just wanted to pinpoint this funny coincidence because of how alike your games are, but of course, they are fundamentally different experiences, just with near-identical design choices.

I did give Townsfolk a try after a few people mentioned it might be a clone. While it does look very similar at first glance, it’s definitely a different game with its own mechanics. They might have taken some inspiration from Dawnfolk (I released the demo in March 2023), which I’d honestly be proud of since it’s a very nice game, but it could also just be a coincidence.
I think Dawnfolk players would enjoy this game, so you should definitely give it a try (and vice versa)!
