To help with visual clarity, short messages could be in a category that are displayed in a way to be smaller, more transparent, go across the screen faster so they disappear quicker, while longer more detailed messages are in a category where they are bigger, slower, appear on top of other messages to let the player read them. The frequency of the smaller messages could be proportional to belly size. Or make it proportional to stream revenue [max $500 or something], so the character doesn't get bombarded with messages at the start of a stream later in the game.
