Sorry for the late reply, started a new save to replicate the errors.
It appears I found the reason, it was on my end:
When the game forces a new start if one tries to load an old save, the game jumbles scenes. It starts the game after selecting default name.
An entirely fresh start by pressing "start game" and then going through the start, has produced zero errors.
