If you made Josef leave and you give Adrian the 20k and not tell him that you fuck Anna, Japan will be unlocked. At least in my game it is. Haven't done anything major with Ken and Samantha and definitely didn't share Anna

Hello there,
there is no way to unlock the JP trip without sharing one of the 3 choices with Adrian at the moment. (Anna, Sam, or Alice)

As you mentioned "...at the moment. " Does that mean we MIGHT (or will) get the alternative to not share anyone with Adrian for unlocking Japan Tour in the final Steam release?

Hello there,

yes, a solo route for JP is in thoughts, is not a guarantee but is one of the things that MIGHT be done for 1.9

This would include an extension of Mei's content, but as said, is not something that's 100% happening, but we want to make it happen.
