This is a really nice piece! Hope you'll continue! One tech question: you don't seem to have used tiles, did you draw the background and then the props then placed the props on the background all as sprites rather than tile maps or what was your flow? I really like the non-tilyness ) Do you have any content on achieving this result? Reminds me of the hyper light drifter approach! Trying to get into art and your work was very inspiring!

Thank you! The background is painted as an actual map. I stamped some textures like the rocks and painted where I needed definition. Foreground sprites and props are placed in the engine and pixelsnapped. None of it is tilebased :)
