I think taking this matter to Itchio and the discord was a very bad idea...

Piracy is everywhere and there is a reason many artists and VN creators don't talk about this on social media.

In my country, there was an anti-piracy propaganda airing on tv years ago. Instead of preventing piracy, it backfired badly. More people got to know that you could get content for free on the internet and piracy became even more popular.

The best thing you can do is just ignore it, and silently make up ways on Patreon that make difficult the share of the game's files. I don't know any methods myself, but I think some people that already dealt with this problem might know.

The transparency of your situation is very appreciated, but more people with malicious intent will take advantage.

I felt that it was more important to address the situation than to just keep quiet about it. This project is too important to me to not be open and honest about my thoughts regarding the matter. While it's possible that letting people know it's out there is going to be harmful to the project, it's also my only way to make my case for why I'd prefer people not to go that route.

Transparency is important to me with this project, since people are putting money in my hands to make it. I want to make sure everyone who enjoys Void Dreaming is aware of everything I'm doing, and that does include addressing matters like this.

I'm grateful for your thoughts, though, and thank you for sharing them!
