Thank you so much, I'm so glad you've enjoyed what you've seen so far! The next day is already available on Patreon, but it should hit the Itch page soon enough. There's a lot of work to do moving forward, but I promise I'm more excited about it than even you!

Firstly, thanks so much for the kind words! I'm so glad that you've enjoyed your time with Void Dreaming so far; I can only hope that you've got a long, enjoyable journey with the crew ahead of you!
Only the canids have the canid bits! If that's going to upset or turn people away, that's not something that I can help; there is, however, always the option to play Rael as asexual! This will automatically turn him away from most all sexual situations, and spare the eyes of any reader who might find the content objectionable.
The point about a content warning is very well received; I'll see about adding that information to the Warnings section in future builds to help prepare people. Thanks!
Thank you so, so much for the kind words! The artists and I have all worked so hard to make this what it is, and I can't wait to see how I can push it to be even better. The response has been so overwhelmingly positive; I don't think a single person has had anything bad to say about it yet! I know it'll happen (can't please everyone, after all), but the response has exceeded all my expectations by miles! Kilolights, even!
Thank you in advance for the support; it'll all go toward making Void Dreaming even better. I can't wait to show off more of this project to everyone!
Goodness, what a review! Thank you so, so much for reading through Void Dreaming, and I'm beyond thrilled you're so happy with what's been put together so far!
Just a couple of things that should maybe even get you more excited! Firstly, those backgrounds for Mizz's hangout? There's seven more to come, just to flesh the whole experience out a little more! Spacer, Dreamer, Innovator is a cool selection for Rael's Origins, and I'm glad you enjoyed your Rael and want to experiment with more options! And if you'd like even more lore, then check out the blog posts; a great deal of them are all about the worldbuilding elements that underpin the galaxy around the Dreamer!
Thanks again so much for your kind words, and I'll be sure to share them with the artists as well!
Thanks so much for the kind words, and for the feedback!
On seeing the Origin specific choices even if you can't use them, that's an interesting idea! I'll probably run it as a poll in the future to see if that's something most people could like; I personally like the mystery, but that's just me!
Rael is meant to be quite exceptional for his age, hence the generally very impressive Skill spreads he can achieve through his Origins. On a mechanical level I needed readers to be able to have his Skills at the start be solid because they'll probably prefer to spend time with crew rather than train those Skills up. On a narrative level... you'll have to wait and see! Accordingly, decoupling Skills from Origins isn't something on the cards, sorry. Interesting idea, though!
A window beside the dialogue box for Rael's expression was considered, but funds precluded me from actually getting it done. That may change, if the Patreon takes off (once they let my page go live). We'll see; this is very early days for the project!
Thanks again for the thoughts, and I hope you continue to enjoy what's still to come!
Hey, thanks for the question and the praise; I can't wait to get more out!
As Beloch mentions below, the Augmentions blog post actually deals with biomodding and cyberware in-setting, but the gist of it is that a biolock allows a person to lock their physical processes for a time at that physical age. It prolongs their lifespan, but biolocks can only last so long before they need to be replaced, and the body can only handle so many.
So people are still mortal, but they can live much, much longer lives as a result of the technology!
Oh goodness, thank you! Yep, it's me! Same me and all! I'm glad to hear you've enjoyed my other work, and I really hope that Void Dreaming blows it all out of the water. Interwoven was a lot, Blood and Water was a lot, but this is already so, so much bigger than anything I've done before. Fingers crossed it goes well!
That's a pretty cool combination, I think! I've done the work to hopefully make sure that any combination of Origins make sense for Rael, no matter what you choose, but it's definitely rough to go from a colonial boy to a cultural student to notorious star pirate. I'll be thrilled to hear how you go with your Rael in just over a week's time!
Hey, thanks so much! I certainly don't want to trash any other VNs or their devs, but every writing project is different and every project has different needs. I think it could work circumstantially to have other characters fading further into the background for certain stories, but that's up to the author!
I wanted to do something that really leveraged what was possible with the visual novel format. Really lean into choices and all the potential narrative fun that comes with it! If the Origin system and all of these choices result in something complex and fun, then I've done my job. Guess we'll find out soon enough!
