I agree that the hidden rooms only visible when you get close is really neat. I also like that you gate progress by requiring the boots so you can walk over the spikes. I did not get a sense of how you used the limitation in your game. You are running around collecting art and artifacts before exiting. If you added enemies or an ability which influenced the journey, that might be something to consider for future development. Congrats on the submission :) 

Thank you for playing. My interpretation of the limitation was very interesting being that the artifacts allowed you to control the temple. The core was supposed to influence enemies, but I just ran out of time to implement them. Thanks for the feedback
