No. This isn't an expansion per se, this is more of a sequel. This is an entire reworking of most of the content but is mainly going to be new stuff. The entire original asset pack remains free.
Honestly, even seeing its free after paying $30...I'm so glad I did and I would pay double for the expansion. Your work is fantastic and I would pay you handsomely for some commission pixel art.
