sorry this is so late, i did not have access to troubleshooting tips, if anything i hope the issue did resolve itself. if not, is it possible i could ask for your pc's specs and what OS (and version) you're running?
you could try adding the game to steam (bottom left button that says "add a game", then press "add non steam game" if you're not sure how to do that). this isn't an issue i know how to replicate despite it happening to two people now, so i'm not entirely sure :(
