Itch should just update their docs. It is shameful, how many people come here after reading those docs, expecting that the information there was correct.
It is not. It is outdated. Exchange every occurance of "days" with "weeks" and it gets a lot more accurate.
That just how it is. Whatever the issue with your game, even if no issue at all, the waiting queue for staff to do such things is about a month. Maybe more. Maybe less. It is not strict fifo.
If you promote your game, a direct link will not care about your indexing status. And at your stage in development and fame, no one is gonna search your game by name. Even if you appear for five minutes on the recent page, you will be drowned out by all the other games.
