Does this biome-based progression make sense for a 2D action game?

I’m sharing this concept at an early stage because I’m actively looking for critique and alternative perspectives. While I have a clear vision for the game’s tone, structure, and core mechanics, I’m fully open to adjustments, refinements, or even new ideas if they improve clarity, scope, or player engagement. I’m especially interested in feedback that challenges assumptions—whether that’s questioning a mechanic, suggesting a different way to communicate an idea through play, or pointing out areas that may be unnecessarily complex or underdeveloped. My goal is not to protect the concept as-is, but to shape it into something stronger, more focused, and realistically achievable.

The concept art was made with AI because i have next to no artistic ability but i did think up the designs and think they almost meet my expectations. But any feedback would be great, this is a project id love to bring to life in the future i mostly wondering if the concept has a possibility of being a fun game and peak interest in the community. Thank you to anyone who visits my post i greatly appreciate the views!
