Hey Jimmy, I’m part of a community that speedruns LSBU on speedrun.com, and we’ve been exploring ways to create some speedrunning tools. Things like UI elements that show velocity/position, a way to select levels quickly for practice, and a way to loop levels.

I completely understand if this isn’t possible or something you’re not comfortable with, but I wanted to ask if would you be open to giving us access to the game’s source code.  We’d only use it to create tools/mods for speedrunning purposes, and we’d respect whatever boundaries or conditions you set.

Thanks for your time, and for making this banger of a game.

Sure! I went ahead and made the GitHub repository for the game public, and you can find it here: https://github.com/jimmyc5/GMTK-Game-Jam-2024
I'll warn you that the code is a little scuffed in places due to being a jam project. But super honored y'all would want to speedrun it! Let me know if you run into any problems with the code or if I forgot to update GitHub with the latest version or something, it's been a while lol

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! LSBU is honestly a perfect speed game. Short enough that you can aggressively reset, but long enough that there's still meat to the speedrun. Add in the great physics and responsive controls and there's a lot to play with. Will absolutely let you know if we run into any issues, and good luck with Inverted Journey!
