Yep, I'm pretty sure this game is cancelled/abandoned.
But that's not even the worst part to me.
Dev, if you're reading this, please, WHY in the world would you post a "Final Update" post on kickstarter and make it so that only backers can see it?
Ok, your priority are the people who spent money on this, I absolutely get it. But if that's the final update, one and done, this game won't ever be updated again, why in the seventh layer of hell did you private the post???
That kickstarter post is the only post talking about a final update that I could find, all the other pages, official site, twitter, patreon, kofi, steam, have been radio silent for years at this point. Do you know how that makes me feel as a player who was too broke to back the kickstarter project back then but still enjoyed the game? That the backers' money paid for their closure about this game, but since we didn't give you any money we don't get closure.
That's a terrible note to leave on. I'd love to be wrong, honestly. Please tell me I'm wrong. Otherwise at least update the game status here and on steam so we know for sure. At least give us some closure.
