I do not think you were flagged for reporting. Unless you "reported" the spammer by posting comments.
You have links in your comments and the criminals try all sorts of things. Including linking to github, patreon, apple, and of course, Itch. Also seen were pictures of links.
So I think it was coincidence. The spamming is still going on. A lot. There is a few games, everytime I check on them, there are spam comments from a new account. Many of those accounts look hacked. Whatever they are using as a spam detector, it might catch the spam by the thousand, but the ones it does not catch, look embarassingly easy to detect, all the while regular users get flagged.
