Fun game! I love that it is a frog! Clearly you’ve been developing this guy for a long time, and it was very close fit to the theme. No bugs in sight! Great work you have!
Critique:
- This fits the one more run look at feel, but doesn’t focus on cliffs (which is the theme, but it does have some holes you can fall in, so I gave you a point for that)
- Each run is different, so a player doesn’t really get to learn from their mistakes on a given section, so its hard to build up. That ruined a bit of the one more run feel.
- Impossible or near impossible levels – There was one level generated that I’m 99% sure was impossible… the key had no way to get to it (it was at the top of the map w/ not ledges to get up to it) I thought maybe there was a special jump ability that I was missing, so I then did the tutorial to check. Also there was another level that generated where you needed to get a key in one space by back tracking before you unlock the door. I got a whiff of that level a couple times and never could even get close to getting to the key, let alone the door before the blades caught me, and I dashed from the beginning to get as far ahead as possible. That made only a couple of different level scapes playable. IT is entirely possible I’m just too dumb to figure it out, but I think I’m the average player at the very min.
- The tutorial… why is so hard to complete??? That is the worst possible place to put a hard obstacle for a new person learning. That last obstacle made me refresh the game. HOWEVER I did love the tutorial it was well done minus that part. ALL games imo should have that.
