That is strange since there are no files with those names inside the game as far as I know, unless it is part of the engine. Can you share the hash of the scan? perhaps I can identify what it is flagging.

Also for which platform are you downloading?

Flagging from few AVs is not a very reliable detection, more often than not is a false positive. I can tell you we do not put malware on the game, but if you trust us or not that is for you to decide. In case of doubt, run the game sandboxed or don’t run at all. Stay safe on the internet :).

I ended up having the same problem, I checked it on VirusTotal and it showed that there's a Trojan. I started using a lot of verification apps since I lost all my achievements because of downloading them. Because I downloaded an app that contained malicious data, I've since been constantly seeking help from websites and executable files that offer assistance... Can I trust you that it's not a real Trojan?

I can tell you that we don’t have malicious code in the game, however this only applies if you downloaded the game on Itch. In other sites we don’t have control over what is uploaded so we do not endorse anything.

Our word is probably not worth much for you. If you need to validate if the game is malicious or not, run the game in an isolated environment like a sandbox, virtual machine or another computer, and test the behavior of the application to check.

Also, like I said before, even if this or other games are deemed safe, if possible, run them on a sandbox, because you never know who to trust online. Stay safe :).
